Salted Caramel Brownies

These salted caramel brownies are rich and fudgy, with a swirl of gooey caramel and a hint of sea salt. They’re perfect for chocolate and caramel lovers.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • Sea salt for sprinkling

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  3. Mix in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until well combined.
  4. Spread batter evenly in the prepared pan.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of caramel sauce over the batter and swirl with a knife to create a marble effect.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Sprinkle with sea salt while still warm. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
