Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

This apple cinnamon oatmeal is a warm and comforting breakfast with tender apples and a hint of spice. It’s perfect for starting your day on a cozy note.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 large apple, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add diced apple and cook until slightly softened, about 3 minutes.
  2. Add rolled oats, milk, ground cinnamon, and brown sugar. Stir to combine.
  3. Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until oats are tender and the mixture has thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in chopped walnuts if desired.
  5. Serve warm.
