Classic Focaccia Bread

Classic Focaccia Bread is a soft, flavorful bread with a crisp crust, perfect for dipping in olive oil or serving with meals.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500g all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 350ml warm water
  • 60ml olive oil
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh rosemary

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
  3. Slowly add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes.
  5. Place dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a cloth, and let rise for 1 hour.
  6. Transfer dough to a baking sheet, press it out, and make dimples with your fingers.
  7. Sprinkle rosemary over the top and drizzle with olive oil.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let cool before serving.
