Vegetable Samosas

Vegetable Samosas are a popular vegetarian snack with a spiced potato filling. Crispy and flavorful, they make an excellent treat for any occasion.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pack samosa pastry sheets
  • 2 cups boiled and mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup peas, boiled
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a pan, heat a little oil and add cumin seeds. Sauté onions until golden brown.
  2. Add spices and mix well. Stir in mashed potatoes and peas. Cook for 5 minutes and let cool.
  3. Cut samosa pastry sheets into strips and fold into triangles, filling with the potato mixture.
  4. Seal edges with a little water and fry in hot oil until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
