Classic Vanilla Cupcakes

These classic vanilla cupcakes are light and fluffy, perfect for any occasion. Topped with your favorite frosting, they make a delightful treat that’s sure to please.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour and baking powder. Gradually add to the creamed mixture, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with flour.
  5. Spoon batter into prepared muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool completely before frosting.
