INGREDIENTS
- 500g calamari rings
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 cup buttermilk
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Lemon wedges for serving
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Dip calamari rings in buttermilk, then coat with the seasoned flour mixture.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 180°C (350°F).
- Fry calamari rings in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per batch. Drain on paper towels.
- Serve with lemon wedges for squeezing over the calamari.
