This apple cinnamon quinoa is a warm and comforting breakfast that combines fluffy quinoa with sweet apples and aromatic cinnamon. It’s a wholesome and filling meal to start your day.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup quinoa
- 2 cups water or milk
- 1 apple, diced
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup raisins or dried cranberries
- Chopped nuts for topping (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Rinse quinoa under cold water and drain.
- In a pot, bring water or milk to a boil. Add quinoa and reduce heat to a simmer.
- Cover and cook for 15 minutes, or until quinoa is tender and liquid is absorbed.
- Stir in diced apple, cinnamon, honey or maple syrup, and raisins or dried cranberries.
- Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve warm, topped with chopped nuts if desired.
