Classic Focaccia Bread is a soft, flavorful bread with a crisp crust, perfect for dipping in olive oil or serving with meals.
INGREDIENTS
- 500g all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp active dry yeast
- 350ml warm water
- 60ml olive oil
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh rosemary
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).
- In a bowl, mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
- Slowly add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes.
- Place dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a cloth, and let rise for 1 hour.
- Transfer dough to a baking sheet, press it out, and make dimples with your fingers.
- Sprinkle rosemary over the top and drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
