Creamy hummus paired with crispy pita chips makes for a delicious and healthy appetizer or snack.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 60ml tahini
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 garlic clove
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt to taste
- 4 pita bread, cut into wedges
- 1 tsp paprika (for garnish)
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a food processor, blend chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and salt until smooth.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with paprika.
- For the pita chips, preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Arrange pita wedges on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and bake for 5-7 minutes until crispy.
- Serve hummus with warm pita chips.
