INGREDIENTS
- 200g dark chocolate, chopped
- 150g unsalted butter
- 200g granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 120g all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a heatproof bowl, melt chocolate and butter together over a pot of simmering water, stirring until smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in sugar until well combined. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Fold in flour and salt until just combined. If using, fold in chopped nuts.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.
