Vegetable Samosas are a popular vegetarian snack with a spiced potato filling. Crispy and flavorful, they make an excellent treat for any occasion.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 pack samosa pastry sheets
- 2 cups boiled and mashed potatoes
- 1 cup peas, boiled
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a pan, heat a little oil and add cumin seeds. Sauté onions until golden brown.
- Add spices and mix well. Stir in mashed potatoes and peas. Cook for 5 minutes and let cool.
- Cut samosa pastry sheets into strips and fold into triangles, filling with the potato mixture.
- Seal edges with a little water and fry in hot oil until golden brown and crispy.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
